Progressive Betting

Progressive betting

Bets that are based on a previous bets’ outcome or the current winnings or loses of a game is a betting pattern that’s often called Progressive Betting. Unless there was a reasonable chance of winning would you want to bet in a game? So all you need to do is make a big bet and when you win, it would cover all previous losses. This strategy is considered to be progressive betting and these sorts of online gambling betting strategies can work greatly in your favor. You won’t always win in using them, but most times you will and that’s important.

Today there are a number of ways you can place bets. Making bets isn’t rocket science but knowing how to place the right bet strategically will help you go a long way.  There are different types of progressive betting strategies: Gambling Fallacy, D`Alembert System, Parlay System, Paroli System, 1-3-2-6 System and the Martingale system betting.

The modern day progressive betting systems are a mixture or variation of the traditional systems. It is easy to follow the modern progressions if you have an idea of the classical ones. These betting systems can either be positive or negative or a mixture of both. Positive bets are those raised on a win, negative bets are the one dropped on a win and the mixture of these is when bets are raised on either a certain win or loss level.

Let’s briefly look at the various progressive betting strategies.

Gambling Fallacy

In the Gambling Fallacy system of betting, it says that if a card or number has not shown up recently, it will certainly show up soon. The main problem with this system is that it incorrectly assumes that math will play a part to whoever tries to predict a 'future' outcome. This is why it is risky, because the facts of such a system are largely wrong. Although this Gambling Fallacy system can be quite tempting to use, I wouldn’t and mainly because to rely on the likelihood of an event to occur by basing one's judgment on past events, can be risky.

Martingale System

The Martingale system is quite old and has been modified to meet today’s casino gambling world. The Martingale system doesn’t take into consideration that you will lose an infinite amount of times in a session. This is how it works… if you win, great and then you bet again, but if you lose, you should double your next bet to cover the loss of the previous bet. It’s a negative progression system which is risky and you do need a big bankroll. You also need to be aware that many casinos, whether online or land-based, have house limits, and this means that if you reach that limit, this system might not work.

D`Alembert System

This system of progressive betting is quite similar to the Martingale system but it is much safer though. How does this system work? You raise your bet after each time you lose, and you decrease your bet every time you win. Using this system you get compensated for your losses when you bet higher after losing. Also, you get to keep most of your winnings by betting less when you win.
